Add water to the bottom of the unit (beneath the removable ice tray) up to the ledge that holds the ice tray. 

Turn it on and select LARGE for the ice cube size (large ice cubes seem to be the best setting because the smaller ones melt too quickly)

Be sure to use some form of filtered water (the ice maker does not filter the water itself).

The ice will automatically fall into the ice tray when it is finished.
